Detroit's Belle Isle Aquarium, designed by Albert Kahn, is the oldest continually operating aquarium in the United States. It includes stunning green opalite tile designed to give the visitor a sense of being underwater. In black and white, I find the tile has a pop that is classic and eye-catching.
